I was recently writing a PhD thesis, and I had all these ideas that were tangentially related but didn't quite fit in with the central theme. Like the Freudian overtones of many rock songs. Also, I just like to overanalyse things. So I decided to put all this stuff here. Feel free to set me straight if you think I am misreading something...
